This book features ten unconventional stories translated from Spanish to provide Italian readers with a glimpse into the fragments of life and imagined realities crafted by ten Mexican writers over the past century. Through these narratives, readers can observe the historical development of the nation and recognize the various aspects that define its social complexity. However, the texts do not aim to precisely depict the "essence of Mexico." Instead, they reflect the diverse concerns and intentions that have shaped Mexican literature over the last century, contributing to the evolution of contemporary Mexican narrative forms and themes.
